Betel Nut....

This is betel nut that many of the people on most islands chew and then spit out, many places have signs that say "Don't spit betel nut"! When they spit it out it is red and difficult  to clean up. The betel nut is used as a mild stimulant,causing a warming sensation in the body and slightly heightened alertness. Although you can find it on trees everywhere on the islands it is also sold at many stores.
