Underwater World Guam

Chris Stevens and family with Sharon Stevens did the Sea Trek which is a premier underwater helmet diving experience. We crashed the party again and went to see them, we decided that we need to go with the Stevens and do the Sea Trek.

Dinner at Village Inn Guam

The Stevens and their son, his wife and family and the younger missionaries from Dededo and Yigo all went to dinner at Village Inn, we crashed they party and hung out with them too!

Several order these giant hamburgers and they all
ate every bite, including the 12 year old grandson!

Family History at Merizo

We were asked to go to Merizo and do a presentation on family history, after talking about how important it is to honor our ancestors and know their stories we helped themto start filling in the information they know and encouraged them to continue to get as much information as they can. We plan on visiting with them again to help them continue to do their family history.

Sunsets

We have so many beautiful sunsets here in the islands, we are posting some that we can look at and remember the time we spent in this beautiful place..........

They really still have these?

When we were leaving the University of Guam we saw these........ do they really still use them?

Festival and Genealogy

Near the end of the festival they had a two day workshop about how to make sure the native customs on the islands remain and are not lost with the passing of time. These are some pictures of the workshop......

Family History Presentation.....

Saipan started the Maw'Amko through Technology Project, this project in part was to help Students record stories of their elders. Each year the students talked to their elders and learned their stories. These stories were submitted and the the top ten presented these at the genealogy aspect of the festival. These are some of the pictures of the students that were able to fly from Saipan to Guam to present their stories...
This is Val Welch who is the teacher that implemented the program in Saipan and now taking it to Rota and Tinian.
